Founder's Message
I did not set out to build a software company. I set out to teach.
Over fifteen years, I taught in five countries — Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pakistan, China, and Spain. I worked across American, British, Australian, and Canadian curricula. I sat with students from over forty nationalities, many of them brilliant and struggling at the same time — not because the material was too hard, but because the tools available to them were either too expensive, too generic, or too far removed from how they actually worked.
My academic background spans business, language, and education. I hold a BBA, an MBA, a BA in English Literature, History, and Education, and a Master's in Education Leadership and Management, where my research focused on the Hidden Curriculum — the unwritten norms, expectations, and structures that shape how people actually experience a system, well beyond what is formally planned. That research stayed with me. No product is only what's written in its specification. It is also what happens in the space around it, and who that space was designed for.
I also hold a diploma in Fashion and Textile Design and a background in Oracle 10g development. The range is not accidental. It reflects a long interest in how things are made — whether a garment, a system, or a lesson — and what separates something that works from something that merely exists. I am currently a doctoral candidate researching AI hallucination in education: what it means when tools confidently produce wrong answers, and what that demands from those of us building them. That research shapes every product decision we make. We do not use AI carelessly — at Skyen Systems or anywhere else. We study what it gets wrong, because we are responsible for what it gets right. That teaching journey became a company before it became this one. Skyen Solutions, our sister EdTech company, is where the classroom promise lives — building AI learning products for students and teachers who deserve better than what the market offered them.
